The beginning

Today I received offical notice from my new employer in Japan - S. High School. I will be teaching conversational English to Japanese jr. high and high school students.

I have been trying to get a job in Japan for about a year now. I am very excited and dreaming a lot about all the possibilities.

Here's the joyous email I received:

Hi NB- I think I told you it was unofficially official when I submitted
you application - it is now officially official.

Congratulations.

S. High School has decided to hire NB beginning August. A
contract will be made and mailed to him during April/early May. The term
will begin on August 21, so he should be here a couple of weeks before the
