Where do Fuji apples come from?

It's a common misconception in America.  Where do Fuji apples come from?  Well from Mount Fuji of course.  Both are big, both are famous.  Duh.

No!  Fuji apples come from Aomori.  They were first developed in a town just north of here called Fujisaki.  Don't believe me?  Ask Wikipedia.  Or anyone from around here.
